as i was driving home from work today my injector light came on fot the first time since owning the car for 15 months.

pulled over and turned engine off and back on and injector light stayed on.

when i turned it back on i noticed my idling revs were lower than normal its was idling around the 700rpm mark when its normally at 1200.

the rev needle wasnt moving but i could hear the rev fluttering up and down through the exhaust.

can anyone help me on this issue
thanks

p.s my car is a 2001 fiat bravo 155 hgt

My guess:

idle shuld be 1200 when engine is cold, with warm engine i think it shuld be 850 +- 50 rpm.
does it do it only when warm, or all the time?
well u might disconnect some sensors (air temp, maf? etc) to see, if anything does difference.

OR u can get error code readed to be sure.. that would be going for sure...

if lamda is "slow reading" i would recomend u to make sure, u dont have anything else going wrong (that could couse overfueling -> ruin ur lambda readings etc)...

gl ;)...

right ive had my car back from the diagnostic and its come up with maf sensor fault.

only problem i have with this is that i changed the sensor 2 months ago at a cost of £238 from fiat after the same problem.

the garage thinks it could be the wiring at fault does anyone know of anyone in the west yorkshire area who can look at this for me and tell me if it is the wiring?
