DEAR READERS!
AS A STUDENT I WAS SAVING UP TO BUY MYSELF A NICE CAR FOR A REASONABLE PRICE. WHEN I SAW FIAT BRAVO I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT STRAIGHT AWAY. SAVED SOME MONEY TO GET A NICE SECOND HAND EXAMPLE AND GOT MYSELF A LOVELY BRAVO. HOWEVER MY HAPPINESS DIDNT LAST VERY LONG. I HAD THE CAR MAYBE OVER A MONTH AND ALL SORTS OF STRANGE THINGS STARTED HAPPENING. THE CAR HAS DONE 55 K MILES WHICH I THINK IS AN AVERAGE MILEGE. THE EXHAUST FELL OFF, THE CAR KEEPS HOLDING BACK WHEN TRYING TO SPEED UP, STALLS WHEN SLOWING DOWN AND RECENTLY I FOUND OUT WHEN PULLED THE MECHANIC OUT TO HAVE A LOOK AT IT THAT THE CAMSHAFT NEEDS CHANGING!!! APPARENTLY ITS A COMON FAULT. CAMSHAFT, FOLLOWERS AND OIL PIPE. ALL THIS COSTS APPROXIMATELY400-500 HUNDRED PONDS. HOW DISAPPOINTING. I LOVE THE SHAPE OF THE CAR THE INTERIOR AND THE WHOLE PACKAGE HOWEVER I WOULD DEFFINITELY DID'NT BUY ONE AGAIN. (n)

no need too SHOUT, that 1.4 12v motor really sucks you can understany why fiat took it out of production so quickly.

I'm also owner of an Brava 1.4 12v and I have to tell you as follows. If you want to keep this Brava with that engine you have to use original oil Sellenia gold (if you use the other one that can be hazardous to you camshaft, oil pipes etc). Once a year or during oil change you need to flush oil installation along with oil pipes. That is all considering the problem with camshaft maintenance.Have luck! (y)

How much did you pay for the car? You often need to spend some money when buying a used car, theres often a reason people don't want them anymore! Are you taking it to a main dealer? your best bet it to take it to an independent garage, you'll get a better deal. Ask friends for some recommendations.
