HEY,
hows it going folks? just thought i'd share this info wiv u as we are all fiat owners!!!

i was checking out some sites on the net(bored in work!!) when i came across this mod chip for fiats!! they are supposed to be £70 but these people are selling them for £4.95 delivered!!!

Yes believe it man i've ordered one!!!

the site is www.speedydelivery.co.uk check it out!!!!

it doesn't fit in the ecu and they say it takes 5 minutes to fit with no special tools required!!

it improves bhp and mpg all for a £5!!!!

wot a bargain

once i've fitted mine i will let you all know wot effect it has on my HGT!!!

ding dand doo!!!

Call me cynical but... Its another resistor scam!

wouldn't it be call a mod resistor then???

my mate has got 1 fitted to his vauxhall vectra and says there is a vast improvement!!!

check the site and read it man!!!

i had to read it twice!! ;)

Something don't add up you say u stumbled across this site yet your mate has a chip...........

Anyway got mine coming from Mckrich (y)

Edit: Sounds like a Resister type thing to me......???

sorry....he mentioned this to me on the wkend and i couldn't for the life of me remember wot site he said this mod chip was on so i typed this that and the other and eventually came accross it.

i'm not sure myself whether it does work or not i'm a bit reserved but he said it does so...

a proper superchip for my bravo costs £250 and i haven't got the dollar for that as xmas is round the corner, so £! is on the lottery tomorrow!!!

Hey- If it is a resister it will work but only till the ECU ajust's itself and then is worthless and does nothing.

I'm sure someone a bit more technical will tell you exactly what it does.

Seen these before its like a magnet thing that clamps round youre fuel line. Sorry but I cant see it working tbh. If it does Im having a go with two fridge magnets ;)

I tried a real superchip on my mondeo which cost hundreds and did sweet fa to boost performance so I cant see this doing anymore costing a fiver.

Quote from website: How does it do that ? By fooling your Fiat cars computer and letting it think that your cars engine is sucking in air at a different temperature. Your computer will respond and increase power !

utter, utter crap. How do these people get away with it?

It's a 2p resistor (again) which fools the ecu into thinking the air coming in is cooler than it is. If you fit this you're actually depriving your ecu of one of the signals it needs to allow good running. The air temp sensor is used to allow quicker calculations of correct fuelling, all that will happen if you fit this is that the ecu will take a little longer to react and alter the fuelling than normal. Might even slow the car down until it reaches it's preset running conditions.

If they do a money back guarantee, then claim it back. If it was this easy to tune cars, why would Superchips, BBR, Angel Tuning etc. even be in business?

sounds like a really expensive resistor if thats wot it is!!!

if F.i.a.t says it's a bag of **** then chances are it is then as he's a mechanic!

so he would know.

;) hey this makes good conversation though for a friday afternoon

..........u learn something every day!

Think about this logically...

When was the last time someone gave you something for nothing???

Exactly!

They are on Ebay all the time, utter crap, and may result in damage to your engine.

The guy with the mondeo who didn't notice difference from a superchip probably never needed one, my HGT is superchipped and gained 9 BHP(dyno'd) as an 'enthusiactic' ;) driver I notice a smoother delivery from lower down the rev range. These chips are not without their faults though, the main gains they get are from bringing ignition timing forward which is not the healthiest option, there is no substitute for a piggyback and individual setup.
£295 (inc VAT) for 9BHP is pretty good power/cash when compared to industion kits (+2 max) and 'zausts (+4-/5 if your lucky with a following wind).

...

I was wondering which fridge magnets would be the best,
Tetley Tea Men or the Liliput figures?

I suppose for aesthetics, they should be car magnets - I'll go check on ebay.. :)
