Anyone any ideas where the airbag l.e.d. wiring runs too so i can cut it to remove the pain in the arse airbag light? I know this isnt the right way to remove it but i know by other threads its not gonna stop off. Had it reset before and now just wanna remove it from staring me in the face. i dont really wanna remove the instrument panel to do it.

Hi!

If you've an intermittrent fault in the wiring or connectors the air-bag light
can still keep coming on!!!

****WARNING!!!**** You MUST disconnect the battery completely and
leave for 30 minutes min before attempting the following, as some
airbag ECUs will detonate the thing as a failsafe measure if the power
supply is disturbed or any wiring disconnected!!!

Once you have done this, remove the airbag ecu supply fuse (5A) -
usually a separate one on its own, check your handbook for its location -
then underneath the centre-console at the front, trace the airbag ecu
loom - usually yellow - up towards connector plug 117 where it connects
to the dashboard wiring, then look for a ***Blue/yellow stripe lead (ref.
117 LG)*** from the air-bag ecu pin 13 - this is the warning light return
lead to the ecu and can be disconnected to put the light out!

Hope this helps!

PS! A dab of black paint over the warning light is also suggested as a
quick tip on assorted other places as well!

Its simple to get the instrument cluster out, but I was wondering if anyone knew if the airbag bulb (I think its the yellow bulb on the back of the instrument cluster - which can't be twisted out like the other bulbs)

I think its LED and permanently fixed in the cluster - how to remove this?
