:confused:I have a 1996 BRAVA 1.6 SX. Usual door handles rubber falling off. Will handles from a BRAVA 1998-2002 fit my model or do I specifically need to source handles from a 95-98 model

thanks

Yes you can use the handles off a '98 -'02 model.

no special tools, screw driver, allen key, and very small hands if I remember correctly!! The first handle you do will take you ages to figure out but once you do it, you'll get the rest done fairly quickly.

All handles throughout the range will fit, some Marea models were fitted with plastic handles which you can fit and will not fall apart again like the rubber ones!

I found the passenger side handle easy to do but the driver side took some cussing it seemed tighter because of the rods for some reason, I left them conected to the lock, basically because I could not see inside the door to find the ends, so all I did was handle bolts out manuipulate the handle around till you can pop off the rods from the handle, fits back same way.
Not a hard job just fiddly.
There is a Polish guy selling them for £19.99 or best offer Brand new, I bought a front set about 8 months ago and they are still good., just search Fiat Bravo Handles, and he comes up. or try link:

Just had another look if you go into his shop he also does the rear handles for your Brava, just make sure you are looking at GB Fiat on the list down the lefthand side of page

Best thing to do and what i did is to look on ebay for anyone breaking a Marea and ask them how much they want for the handles. I got a set of 4 for my Brava for £30!

I found the drivers side harder to refit aswell. like everyone says its fiddly but not hard. Be carefull not to damage the cast locks while levering off the rods, that metal is weak. Mine had been broken by a bodyshop lucky i had spare parts.

You can use your key to turn the lock and pull the handle while refitting to make it easier. The can opener on my pen knife was a good help. :p
