As with all Bravo/as the door handles on my brava are pretty manky. One of them looks like the cover has been picked off (either that or its a different door handle to the rest).

Is it possible to remove the manky cover and if so what's the best way to do it? I know I could get some handles from a Marea, but I'd rather work with what I have.

Any disadvantages to removing the peeling cover?

The problem with renovating any cosmetic part will always be getting the surface back to a good stable base from which to work.
I would think that might be quite difficult knowing what these handles are like.
So my advice is to go the Marea handles route, it might mean more time to start with but the result will be with you for the life of the car. You don't have to do them all at once, although once you start and find out that it isn't so hard to do you probably will. Good luck(y)

Thanks mate. I don't intend to do anything with the handles really so don't need a stable base - I just want the peeling outer coating not to be there.

Is it possible to remove this coating without doing any damage to the car or the handle?

Hi Cooper. I own a Bravo HGT at present but in all the Bravo models i had, i replaced the Door handles with 'Alfa Romeo 147' Chrome ones. They are the same fit, look much better and they don't wear :)
