hi all
iv had my bravo for a week now and a few days ago the injector light came on and has stayed on since! the car still drives but very poorly its hasd no power and struggles to get up hills even with foot to the floor, wen slowing down or when stopped the revs will get very low and sometimes the engine will stop completely!

i pulled out the spark plug leads and noticed the end one was broken and wen inserted its a lot looser then the rest could this be the corse of my problem or should i take it to garage to get checked out?

Sounds like you found your problem. Also the 1.6 is prone to injector failure but I would sort your first problem out first.

a friend recomended a garage to me and the bloke had a look at my problem turns out my car is only fire on 2 cylinders because of a coil pack failure or so he says! he says he can order and fit a replacement tomorrow for £70 is this a good price or should i look elsewhere?

by the way the leads seem to be fireing fine as he swapped em around to see if any were dead

hi iv got a new coil pack which took me from 2 working cylinder to 3, i then change all plugs and swapped to leads which were broken but still number 3 cylinder isnt working!

im going to get a compression test done on that cylinder 2moro if thats ok then im going to look at then injector!

jus wanted to know if the brava 1.6 16v injector is the same for the bravo?
and will injectors for a 1.2 bravo/brava be the same as well?

No, you will need injectors from a 1.6 16V Bravo. Original 1.6 injectors have 2 holes, this was later improved and the 1.6 injectors then came with 4 holes. So dont worry if you see this difference.

A diagnostic test would be benefical if you have an injector light on as its the cars engine management light.
