hi guys....ive had my 99 bravo 1.4 12v for 8months and only recently has it started to give me bother.first the clutch went on it and i had to replace the slave cylinder too.the injector light would always have come on from time to time but now its on alot more...i was waiting at a juntion the other day and the car died and wouldnt start again until i left it for 20mins.the light wouldnt go off either.wen it starts again it seems to drive fine but wen i drive any distance at all it comes on again.wouldnt start again on me today twice once id stopped and had to wait to start it.its sittin at about 800revs too wen tickin over.is that normal?
its had a new set of plugs..and my starter was totally refurbed.alternators also fine..its bin checked and running more than it even needs.
can someone help me cos i worry about takin it outa the drive now.
cheers guys

Your injector is nakard.

You will see a pipe coming from the air filter box to a round plastic cover with 3 nuts holding it in place the injector is under there.

I will post pics later when i get back from work because there is also a fuel regulator under there and if you undo the wrong one you will have Petrol shooting out and I mean shooting, and its a pain to tighten it correctly.

About £5-£10 from a scrap yard (y)

Its an Injector light yes, but it actually is the engine management light on the older Bravo's.

It could be anything, it does not mean injectors are faulty.

Best thing would be to get a diagnostic done.

It's not the engine management light the the hand book actually says "INJECTION MALFUNCTION (red) When there is a failure in the injection system"

4) Is the fuel Regulator. do not remove that!!

6) Is the fuel Injector

Does your car have an engine management light? I bet it doesn't. Heres what an engine management light looks like...

So tell me what light comes on when theres a faulty lambda sensor or anything else that causes probs to happen? The answer is the Injector Light.

I was dubious about it too like you Fiat - Bravo but read this LINK. You will find out the problem wasn't a faulty injector that kicked up the injector warning light.

Im Fully aware of what a Engine Management light looks like!

Neither does the owners manual or Fiat workshop manual say that it is the engine mangement light as you can see from the screen off the workshop manual. As far as I was concerned that was all its function was.

One of my dads old skodas iirc his 1st Fabia had not got a engine management light so i presumed there just was not one on the dash.

there is no engine management light on my car like u said joske..only the injection malfuntion light is on!was in touch with a guy earlier who can run a diognostic for me for around 20quid so hopefully il find out...i take it this is a common problem with bravos?

Not really a common problem. Just sh!t happens sometimes and an error light appears.

In regards to 'Fiat-Bravo' still insisting its a Injector Light for just the injectors then sorry to say its not. You did read my link. As i stated earlier an engine management light was not introduced till a lot later on the Bravo so why would Fiat call it an engine management light in the workshop manual which was publisher earlier on.

My MK2 owners manual shows both the Orange engine management light and the Red injector light. However the engine management light is only on the petrol versions (no red injector light fitted) and the Red Injector Light is only for the Diesels (no orange engine management light), like mine. However it is the engine management light, when i get an error this thing lights up.

Do a search on the forum, you'll find the injector light to come on, on puntos with egr problems, loose connections, lambda sensor faults and injector faults too that are tripping the light too. Its a engine management light, a general warning light which will come on for any numerous reasons.

I wasn't still insisting its just an injector light I stated a fact that in 2 fiat publications there is no mention of this light being an enigine management light thats all!!!

Hi Guys.
I've have had a fiat punto GT and when the "Injector Light" turned on it was the thermostat fault and not an injector.
I've got a friend with the same light turned on and it was the water temperature sensor and not an injector ;)

This light it's not only the injector light but the engine management light.

Best regards.
