My Brava has got the common corrosion problem on the a/b/c-beam "panels". Thought I'd have a go at them, but can't seem to figure out how to remove them. Is there some "special tricks" or hidden screws, or just a matter of pulling until they give in? :p

which panels do you mean?

corrosion is only common on the wing mirror bases, almost everything else is galvanised.

These panels marked with orange:

the front one on your pic (wing mirror bases) are very prone to rusting but they can easily be sprayed with spray paint.

the front and rear door trims can be replaced using scrapyard parts.

That's what I thought I'd do. The wing mirror base should come off easy, but the other three seems to be pressed on or something. Finding others at a scrapyard still leaves me with the problem of getting them off in one peace, so I just wondered if anyone else had done theirs.

I could always fix them while theyre on, but then it'd bug me knowing I "cheated"

the door trims (down the B beam) can be removed from the door by some screws apparently, but i have never found those screws.

are they not bonded on with stiky back

mine seem to be some sort on plastic unlike the old vinal type on the punto

i have seen them go off a bit on the sun thou it's not corotion just faded due to uv

it may be posible to spray them on the car with carefull masking but the right choice of paint would need to be made to get the right satin effect
