Wondered if anyone could help. I have a Magnelli Marelli 60Ah 610A ETS battery in my 2000 Bravo 1.8L HLX which I think needs replacing (tried to recharge it but it still won't work). I've checked numerous websites but none seem to suggest the same spec but rather 45Ah or 55Ah with lower crank numbers. Should I stick with the 60Ah with any crank value or go with a lower Ah?

Many battery sellers quote a lower specification, but same physical size battery so they can quote a lower price to get extra business.

610 CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) seems un-nessessarily high for a petrol Bravo 1.8 in the UK climate. Lucas list the battery for your car as type 027 which is 60Ah 550 CCA.

Dave.

its always better to have more cold cranking amps and capacity than recommended (rather than less) especially during winter. whenever i replace a battery i usually spec it up above the recommended type.
