Hi.

Does anyone know what might be causing a problem I have with a 98 Bravo HGT 2.0....

when it's cold it starts, runs, drives etc perfectly but after 10 mins it just suddenly cuts out.... give it 10-15 mins and then it will start up again no problems but then cut out again after another 10 mins.

when it cuts out, it will turn over fine but not fire. I've checked and im not getting a spark so the ignition system is obviously not getting the switch on...

anyone know of this fault at all? is it a common one for the HGT at all?

yeah its pretty common and been covered on the forum about a billion times lol

the cause is the Crank/TDC sensor, when it gets hot the resistance goes way out of range and the engine stalls.
