Has anyone seen the advert on telly saying they will buy any car.

Well I thought I'd put my car in to see what they would offer.

This is what I got

I was recently offered by, we buy any car £1800 on a 2002 stilo 1.6 with 63k miles. which I thought was fair.

Re: Webuyanycar.com

I actually sold a car to them last year. I had 2 cars when I came to buy my 100HP, so part exchanged one and had to shift the other. Decided to give them a try and they quoted a fair price (trade value). Took the plunge and delivered it to them (they are Carcraft Supermarkets, so took it to my local branch at Chertsey). They had a look over it and actually increased the price by £75 as i'd listed a deep scratch which was really superficial. All done and dusted in 15 minutes and payment was in the bank 3 days later. If you can afford to take the hit and need a quick sale, it's certainly a hassle free option to consider.

Looked on their website a few days later and they had it for sale (30% above what they paid me!!). Hung around for ages and they eventually dropped the price to a more realistic level and moved it to another branch in the north. I guess it sold eventually and they would have made a profit of probably 15-20%.

yep, thats why carcraft and other similar businesses have so many crap cars to sell. the previous owner thought the car was too crap to sell privately so they get rid of it this way.

Re: Webuyanycar.com

Well my car was far from crap, but as I said if you want a quick no hassle way to sell (admittedly taking a hit) then it's just the job. It won't be for everyone, but it's another option that will suit some for a number of different reasons. Don't understand why people knock it to be honest, although I appreciate why it wouldn't appeal to many.

generally if you drive a fiat you havent got money to throw away, so why lose 15-20% of your car's value when you could stick it in the adtrader for free and sell it within a week for the market value?
