Hi everybody,

I ve got a sport filter and I have a few questions if anybody can help me I would aprecciate.

In my original air filter box there is a AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR (pink color).
It is connected to a Injection unit om one side and hatchfor hot air coming from exhaust collector.

My question is what to do with this sensor, because if I put on a sport filter that hatch will be of no use or else?
Is there a catch about all this?

Is ther anybody who can show me a picture of assembly or if can anybody give me a detail explanation how to install sport filter.

I know that sport filter wont do me any greater performances but I would like to install it anyway.

thx for your help

Happy motoring

if the sport filter is just a cheap one then it wont work
i put a cheap one on my 1.4 bravo and i lost loads of power
i believe you will need a k&n 57i induction kit so that you can take off the two little pipes and connect them

Just for the record the exhaust manifold shroud rusted off my 1.4 years ago, so the intake air is always cold. I haven't noticed any difference, so perhaps you can just bung it on anyhow. I guess you could theorize that cooler air is denser, and the car will hence be more powerful (and less fuel efficient) with the hot air intake bypassed.

Mind you, why anyone would want to spend time and money modding a 1.4 litre shopping trolley is beyond me. Even a nice looking Italian one. But I am an old giffer.......

during acceleration you only get cold air anyway, the valve opens and shuts according to engine load and temperature.

with it disconnected you get worse mpg and performance during cold running.
