:confused:Hi i've recently bought a brava that had o/s/r damage. one wheel was well out of shape(badly buckled)and the other at a slight angle (top of wheel facing in) having put two new wheels on the car they have scrubbed the tread off within 1 month both on the inside as if the car is running on the inside of the wheel, also when driving and hitting potholes the car seems to jump to 1 side anyone got any ideas as to what the problem could be as it appears to be solid on hubs and i can't see anything untoward on the suspension, any suggestions gratefully received thanks

SOunds like you chassis and/or your rear axle is bent, i suggest getting them checked out, if its the axle then you should be able to get a second hand one from a scrappy cheap enough, but if its the chassis its gonna cost quite a bit.

Agree with Bandido. It sounds like you have a bent axle. As Jug says, you should realise that a side swipped wheel is going to do some serious damage.

I work as a vehicle damage repairer. ;)

If the wheel is bent in, then obviously the mounting is bent.
I would expect to see a bent hub.
How have you examined the hub?
who mot'd the car? Stevie Wonder!

get an axle with hubs, dampers attached and change the lot as its easiest and will sort out the problem (y)

the car is jumping to one side because the rear wheels are pointing in different directions and angles.
