does anyone know if any plastic doorhandles are available which could be painted body colour and will fit a bravo as the rubber ones on mine are crap and have rotted and it sounds like its quite common.

Go chrome :D

i have chrome handles (obviously) and while i love them i do find they scratch easily, so easily i wonder if its really chrome or just chrome paint on top of plastic.

yeah mine are stratched proper bad, keep meaning to get out with the autosol and see if i can sort it! they pretty deep tho so i doubt i can do too much of an improvement.. oh and i really need to sort the fact the lock barrel comes out the drivers side with the key

it would be easy if the clip was still there, but god knows where it will be by now, actually i'd check in the bottom of the door, it looks like the letter C

yes it's to with your handle! I wouldn't suggest gluing the barrel in place! There are plenty of guides floating around on how to take the handles off, just a few screws need undoing and a pair of small hands are required! iirc on mine there was also a pin that through the barrel aswell!

Oh and i will print out the pages from my fiat service manual, so you know exactly how to sort it.

thanks for your help guys, got a pair of marea handles for £20 and got my dad to re-paint them (handy having a spraypainter for a dad;)). fitted them and they look alot better than the standard ones.

Sorry to hijack, just got my marea rear door handles for my Bravo and alas not the same colour as my car so gonna have to re-paint em, do I need primer on them first?
2 Coats Primer & 2 Coats main colour, or no primer needed considering it will be black paint?

TIA, James.
