the rear of my car has bilstein coilovers on, as i tried to fit the fromts a while ago the lower mounting bolts were further apart than on the shock itself. after enquirin into this with demon tweeks i was told that it may have the fiat sports upgrade suspension pack fitted when it was first bought and he sais there if it had thsi there was nothing i could do to upgrade the front suspension. the car sits nice and level now and handles loads better with just the rear suspension on but the front just feels a bit too soft in comparison, is there anything i can do to upgrade or find out if it has this pack on

by the way its a 97 p reg hgt

cheers(y)(y)

demon tweeks are correct, on the HGT there are 2 types of suspension, if you have the sports suspension upgrade then the normal HGT coilover kit wont fit, and unfortunately very few manufacturers make a kit that will fit because there are so few HGT's with the sports suspension upgrade. however, you can easily change your car's hubs to standard HGT hubs, then your coilovers will fit. this is an easy job and the hubs are not hard to find in scrapyards.

even the standard dampers are good enough, so the sports suspension upgrade is definately good enough, sticking a set of springs on them would be fine.
