Selected the passenger window to go down (from the drivers door). It went down about an inch and stopped.

Now neither window works. The sunroof still works.

I've checked all the fuses on the drivers side in both "boxes" and none have blown.

Took the glove box out and can't see any fuses, just relays.

Any suggestions?

Find the relay for the windows and replace it with another one. Maybe its stuck and stop working. When you press the button for windows either from the drivers side or the passenger side, do you hear any clicking noise from the glovebox? If not then you know that your relay has died.

Thanks.

It does appear to be the relay. Checked the supply to the switch, which is about 1.5V

Any idea which / where the relay is? I can't find anything in the manual.

Its behind the glovebox the relays for fog lights and windows. Try the fotos below if they help you.

Thanks for that. Opened the relay and it's full of electronics.

There was a dry solder joint. I don't know what I've fixed, but it wasn't the windows!
:-(

Off to the autoelectrician tomorrow ..................

Oh, dear! I've found out what I "fixed".

The radio doesn't work and neither does the rear screen heater. And the windows STILL don't work.

Ah, POOOOOH!

Sorted!

£20 spent. Sparkie changed a couple of fuses which "looked OK" and now everything back to normal.

10p for the fuses and 19.90 for knowing which ones to change!
