does any know how to time the camshafts to crank on the brava 1.6 16v engine, its a W reg. ive just replaced the idler pully after the bearing collapsed, luckily it only jumped 2 or 3 teeth and was still running, but i cant seem to find any timing marks at all to get it timmed up correctly. ive got it near enough as it runs but hunts when idling ( if i remove the sensor on the plastic intake at the back it idles smoothly but the injector warning light comes on. reconnect the wiring plug and the injector warning light goes out, but it starts hunting again.
any techies got any idea?
thanks

I think you need a cam locking tool. Someone will know for sure though HTH

when timing is compromised its time to buy a pair of cam locks (£40 @ motorfactor), if you need instructions to use them consult a haynes manual.
