Hey Guys,

Should be going to look and hopefully buy a bravo atthe weekend is there anything in particular i should look out for?? its had the timing belt done 10k ago but i'm a bit of a noob when it comes to fiats :p

which engine? let me know and i'll tell you any engine specific issues.

check for signs of a sunroof leak
check airbag and fuel injection fault lights (and ABS light if fitted) all behave as expected (switch off shortly after ignition is switched on)
check rear wiper and wash works.
check idle rpm is 850 when warm and higher on a cold start (as high as 1300+ on a very cold start)
check that the cooling fan kicks in when temp gauge is just over half way.

if it is S reg or earlier check for a couple of small round keys for the alarm (if it has an alarm, all models with remote keys do)

there should be 2 blue keys and 1 red key. check they all work the locks and start the engine. if the blue keys have remotes then check both work.

T reg means its mk2, so no alarm keys to worry about. the 1.6 is very prone to injector failure, which causes a misfire (run on 3 cylinders). it is very easy to diagnose and repair yourself and cheap. there are no other 1.6 specific concerns. its a strong torquey engine, only let down a little bit by fuel economy.

Cheers for that :D will take notes and check everything :D seems that the 1.6 is quite a good car then according to that :D
