Hi all
I know there is quite a lot of posts about the leaky sunroof problem but I would just like to ask what is the best way to fix it. I have spent the last couple of days reading all the posts and have got a bit confused. Some say take the sunroof out others say drop the roof lining and seal around it. I have quite a bad leak dripping water from just above the passenger sun visor. I have also had water get int the interior light. I have sealed the aerial as I thought that was the problem. Now I know its not I really need to sort it out as going in sainsburys with a wet bum is not a very good fashion statement.

i've beaten the sunroof leak more than once now, it took a few attmepts but i got there in the end. you need to apply silicone around the sunroof chassis. to do that you need to drop the roof lining. its not difficult, just a bit of a pain.

I have tried to check the front drainage holes by pouring water down them. The water did drain away but came out at the bottom near to the middle of the car rather than behind the wheels as described in other posts. It also made a glugging sound as the water went down. I have not been able to locate the back drainage holes. Sorry for sounding stupid but I'm new to cars this is my first one.

Hi All I have a Multipla. After looking at all the posts I am still unable to find where the drainage channels are.Does any-one have any photos? My back sunroof leaks slightly.I have used Captain Tolleys and the front one is now o.k.But i would like to check to see if the drains are blocked.
Thanks

Hi Paul, welcome to the forum, you would be better off asking in the multipla section of the forum as they will probably be able to help you better than us bravo lot. (y)

each corner has a very small hole. on the other side (that you cant see) there is a rubber hose connected to it.

the way to check they work is to slowly pour a pint of water in the wunroof channel and see where it comes out on the floor. it is usualy at all 4 wheels, but in your case i suspect it will only be the rear wheels for the rear sunroof. if you get puddles at the rear whels then you know the drainage works fine. if you get no puddles at all and the water sits in the channel then you have a blockage.

i know where the tubes are because i cut one of them to fit my amp wire. it passed through the hole fine but guess what very time it rained i had a swimming pool in my drivers footwell.
