hello again,

i was driving my brava 1.4 on a p reg down the motorway an seems quite fine. until i reach about 65-75mph the steering wheel vibrates terrible i know this is due to ballancing on the wheels but the clicking is certainly not right?? also when turns into streets the front wheels make a "clunk" sound and also going into reverse? any ideas?

hi it could be your wish bone or your drive shaft jack the car and try and move your wheel by pushing on top and bottom in and out to see if you have nocking

can they be serious situations?

the cluck when turning or selecting reverse could be the differential, or a cv joint, but its hard to say with the info you provided.

are you saying there is a single clunk when you select reverse (when car is stationary)?

and a single clunk when you turn in to a corner? does it do it on both left and right corners?

are you saying there is a constant clicking when moving at speed, but only at high speed? does the clicking seem to increase with road speed, or with rpm, or is the clicking related to the vibration (more vibration = more clicking)? or is the clicking always the same speed no mater what? does its volume change with anything such as speed, rpm or vibration?

or are you saying the cluck is the same sound as the click, or are they seperate noises?


and (be honest) have you been abusing it, such as doing wheel spins, especially the type where one wheel bounces?
