brava stutter

Just got a Brava 1.6.

But when it drives it judders/stutters as if its miss firing, changed the spark plugs and ht leads but still the same.

first time having a fiat so not sure on the common faults.

Also there is a red light coming on and it looks sort of like a micraphone with water spray ---

is this the injector light? (i dont have manual)

I have read a post or two on here and they more or less describe what my car is doing, so it maybe a common fault.

If it is the injectors, does anyone have any tips on how to do this diy job to clean them out as i have a good knowledge for cars when it comes to other models like ford, renault, citreon and peugeot even mr2's.

And where is the best place to get new injectors from?

hope for a good reply.

cheers ppl. Tim

Re: brava stutter

it sounds like the very common injector fault that plagues the 1.6 engine. if you search the bravo.a section for posts by me contaiing the words multimeter injector resistance you will find detailed instructions to diagnose and replace injectors. it is easy, and you can get injectors from scrapyards for £5-10 each so it wont cost much to fix. if you havent got a multimeter then you'll need to buy one. i suggest you keep a couple of spare injectors handy at all times because this problem can happen regularly.
