Hello mate,

Fiat do a system (which is around £120) that simply plugs into your exiting central locking system and converts it to remote central locking. Another option is a seller called "rightclick200" on ebay. They make lots of different remote central locking kits. I have fitted about 5 of these now, and have found them to be good quality. They're not as easy to fit as the fit plug in one, but to be honest, its only a case of connecting some wires to existing wires in the car. But the good thing about them is they are around £30, come with instructions for your car and 2 remotes. Some of them have built in alarms and outputs for window closure etc as well.

Hope that helps,
Alan

Yeah, I've got a Rightclick remote central locking and alarm system fitted to my Punto JTD and it's pretty good. I would recommend it for the price. (y)

cant find the seller on ebay, have you got a working link for them ?

Hi mate,

I cant find them now either!! Surprised because they offered a good product and service!
I have searched through lots of kits and have found these which look identical to the kit from rightclick.

Cheers for that mate,

Yeah, I've got one fitted to my Punto JTD and my Mum has one fitted to her Brava, they seem to be good quality kits for the money. Also they provide good support if you're having trouble fitting them. (y)

Yea i have one in my JTD and my seicento and have fitted them for a few friends too. So far not a single problem. (And i find the range of the fob is pretty amazing!)

are they easy to fit ? like im talking basic knowledge here, also, it says boot release, can this be used as i have a lever operated release at the mo ?
Peter

Hi there,

yes they are pretty easy to fit. Just about 4 wires to join into your original c/l system. Its a bit more difficalt if your car hasnt got c/l to start with. The boot release is possible, but you need to install a solonid that when you press the button is activated and pops the lock.

Hope that helps,
Alan

Re: Remote Central Locking Kit and confused ahhhh

Hi there,

I have done a little guide on them in the punto section. The kits available from a seller called Rightclick2003 on ebay have been used by a lot of people on here, I have personally installed 5 of them now and not had a problem. The guide also includes the fiat sytem, wich is more expensive at around £100 but much simpler to install.

Hope that helps,
Alan
