Hello,

Can anyone tell me how I can remove the standard stereo system in my Fiat Brava? It's a 1996 model, 16v., 1.6. I hope someone can help?

Greetz,

Hiya,
When I bought my Bravo, there were no removal keys 4 the hi-fi so I popped back 2 the dealer and the salesman popped out 2 the Service Dept, grabbed a set of tools and whipped the head unit out 4 me, no charge. It takes about 10 seconds 2 do. I'm sure if u pop in2 ur nearest dealer, they'll do the same. And if they have the nerve 2 charge u, then bitchslap 'em upside da head !! LOL
I did read on the Bravo Forum page that it can b done without the tools, but i don't recall how. Go 2 http://fiatbravo.net/forum and have a look thru'.

Hope this helps,

Rob.

do'nt hold your breath!!!

took mine to my local dealer in colwynbay(n.wales) and asked if they would be able to take the stereo out as i did not have the keys.

the b******s told me that i would have to book the car in!!!
i thought he was joking to start with but he was'nt.
so i took the car to halfords and they took it out for me for nothing!!! yay

it's not illegal untill you get caught!!!

My Fiat dealer told me they couldn't do it and the only way they could help was to order the special Fiat stereo keys from Fiat.
Problem being that the keys were on back order and expected delivery time was 6-weeks!!!
Gave up at parts/service desk, walked round the back, grabbed a mechanic, who said, "yeah we've got the keys, wheres the car?".
He had it out in under 2 mins.
Another great example of Fiats excellent customer service!

Believe it or not its quite easy even without the correct tools, just take two feeler gauges slip 'em in either side, fiddle like mad then pull the radio out by putting your fingers in the cassette slot! It’s all in the haynes book.

if ya got no feeler gauges use ur key things u get with ur HU
