My car is fitted with remote central locking that is no longer working, so I've bought a Toad car alarm that will operate the C/L. The problem is which wires lock/unlock and is it pos or neg switching. I found a box that clicks when C/L is operated could I tap in to these wires and if so which ones? Many thanks

its negatively switched.

that clikcing box is the relay, when i fitted remote central locking to my first bravo i soldered the wires to the pins of the relay. very easy to do.

which pins do you use? i just looked at the relay diagram on the front of the relay, it shows which pins you need to use (if you can read a wiring diagram)

from memory i think the locking wire goes to pin85 and the other goes to pin87 but i cant be sure coz it was a long time ago.
