Hiya guys!

Dont really know what im talking about here so please bear with me.

A mate has a Bravo HGT, his central locking dont work, garage said its cos an after market alram has been fitted so it was disabled.... but alram was removed before he brought it... but central locking not " re connected" i guess.

Garage he got it from doesnt know how to get it working again.... any ideas what to do? auto elec place? or would fiat be best?

Cheers

Ally

obviously it is impossible to know what was done when the alarm was fitted. usually the wires for the central locking are chopped and joined to the alarm. when the alarm was removed you would not expect the chopped wires to be repaired. it is easy to repair the wires, but how do you find where they have been chopped? i would assume they will be chopped near the relay behind the glovebox because that would be the logical place to fit an alarm and it also make it easier when fitting since all the wires are in the same place.

tell him to remove the glovebox and check behind the yellow relay for chopped wires. i would expect to see 4 chopped wires.

ta very much fella... will get him to have a look
