anyone help me on a running guide on a bravo hgt 155 20v
the mpg but its got a sports cat and a powerflow full system so is that going to eat the fuel cheers chris

Think i'd rather have the low down torque, am running without a back box at the mo and have lost some bottom end acceleration.

So are you saving for the Supersprint or going Custom MM? Si-Punto had a listen to mine yesterday and has put exhaust to the back of his list so he has time to save for one. :D

Custom, am going in for a chat but on the phone they knew there stuff about the 20v, the guys really go to town when it comes to researching a new system to get the most from it. Isnt just a stick it together job.

 I'll watch with interest and hopefully get to hear it soon. :)

i was thinking of putting a k&n filter on it does anybody no if its good with them on or worse and do they start drinking more fuel cheers chris.

Unlikely as the exhaust would be custom. Supersprint is 2.5bhp with cat back and 5bhp if you have the decat as well so you may get comparable figures if the spanner monkeys at PF know thier a55 from their elbows.

what difference does it make what your peak bhp and peak lb/ft figures change to? you'll gain bhp and lose lb/ft but the numbers mean nothing. you need to compare curves to get an idea of what difference it will make on the road, and even then there is no way to know if its gonna be a good or bad day until you drive the car. good luck, fingers crossed for you.

Re: bravo hgt oil

does anybody no is it hard to do a oil change on a hgt 20v engine i mean to get to the oil filter.chris

Re: bravo hgt oil

As long as your sump plug or access panel bolts arent rusted tight then its a pretty straightforward job.

The sump/sump plug are uncovered and easy to access once the car in on axel stands.

As for the oil filter, there is an access panel on the undertray that is held shut with two bolts. Undo these bolts and lower the panel to gain access to the oil filter.

Hope that helps

we all know they will be. i had to prise my cover off from the other side and then hold it out the way while i got the other hand on the filter. several cuts on my arm later the filter was off, making a right bloody mess everywhere and leaking oil all over the tray. what a crap design.

bolted on, but then welded at the sill. only the 1 weld as far as i can see, but its a visible one so dont make a mess of it. ;)
