Fitting Bravo 2007 mist washer jets to your classic Bravo/a and Marea

Fitting Bravo 2007 mist washer jets to your classic Bravo/a and Marea

A quick mini guide for a fantastic upgrade to your washer jets.

There are two versions of the Bravo 2007 washer jets. One has a heating element and the other does not. Both include 27cm of rubber tube.

Now I got excited and thought cool heated washer jets. Unfortunately the housing for the heating element is the part you have to cut off to make the jets fit your classic fiat.

What you will need
2x Bravo 2007 mist washer jets.
Junior hacksaw maybe a small file if you weren’t too precise.

I would buy two non-heated jets because it is a lot harder to saw through the heating element.

Old vs New
You can see how similar the jets really are. The new one has a sleeker lower profile.

Highlighted in red is the bit you will need to cut off.

I made two cuts you can see the heating element in the second pic that I had to cut through.

The other difference is the neck. The original is 90 degrees the new is 45 degrees. Not a problem though. You can pull the neck's off and use the originals or just swivel them around.

The new nozzle does not have vertical adjustment, but hits the windscreen in just the right place.

There you go a quick guide. Good Luck.

is there any problem with them, not being adjustable? are they "shooting" at the right place?

Re: Fitting Bravo 2007 mist washer jets to your classic Bravo/a and Marea

Nice and very simple mod...
I have tried another way...
FIAT Coupè washer jets! They fit directly on the wiper arms and have 4 jets each (the upper two are adjustable)
The best thing to do is fit the jets on Bravo's arms, because Coupè arms are little different in shape and lenght.

Simply remove the old water pipe from the wiper pump, connect a new one and put it under the plastic cover between engine bay and the windshield. Drill 2 little holes near the wiper arms and connect the 2 wiper pipes to the new pipe with a Y valve (i have removed the valve mechanism, as the pipe lenght is not so big and the valve will reduce water flow).

Advantages:
-Water arrives directly on the wiper blades, and continue to follow the blades also when you turn on the wipers (no more wipers scratching the dry windshield!)
-If you close the original washer holes on the hood and repaint it, you will have a nice and clean looking hood
-Water arrives exactly where you want at any speed (windspeed usually cause water to hit the windshield in a lower place)

PS: actually i have removed the rear wiper, and used its exit on the pump for the Coupè washers, without removing the original ones on the hood. So actually i have 16 washers on my windshield
