Hi all,

I'm Patrick from Dublin and I've just joined the forums. I have a 95 Cinq 0.9L that was broken into soon after I bought it :( The thieves broke the ignition barrel including part of the housing. I'm wondering if someone can advise on replacing the system?

From what I can see, the housing is split and held together with two flat-face security screws. Drilling these out should split the housing and then I'm guessing I can simply replace it with one bought online. Though I've never done an ignition barrel replacement before so I'm a complete novice. Some people say you've to change the ECU if you change the ignition barrel :-/

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Your best bet is to take the steering column off and replace the whole thing. I have a Cinquecento Sporting column and key reader in my shed. Send me a PM if you'd like it.
