Since I've owned my car there's been a lovely deep dent in the bonnet... only about the size of a 50p piece, but it's dented enough that paint has flaked away, it's down to raw metal and rust is starting to set in.

I was at a breakers yard today getting replacements a few interior bits that I damaged recently and I spotted a Punto in my car's colour with a pretty clean and undamaged bonnet. So I'm wondering - how much roughly can I expect to pay at a breakers for just the bonnet (no hinges, etc)?

As a side note, they also deal in scrap metal - how much do you think the old bonnet coming off the car would be worth? I'm aware it won't be a lot, but it'll make the "new" one marginally cheaper.

delivered ones always come with bent corners and/or dents, unless delivered on a pallet
