For the second time in a few months, someone has scraped the rear bumper of my bossa nova white 500 Sport  presumably while pulling out from a parking space behind me. No dents as far as I can see, just a paintwork scrape.

I had a little go at the black marks today and, on looking closer, I can see that it's had quite a bash and the paint has crackled, over a fairly wide patch.

What should I do? Will it peel off, or catch dirt in the crackles and look awful? Do I need to get it resprayed?

So cross. Would welcome some advice what to do.

Thanks.

Have you got any pictures of he damage so we can see the full extent?
I have a bit of a crack in my bumper ATM (Before i brought the car)
and with mine, my two choices were plastic wield (and spray) or buy a new one. (If not in black, spray that also)
But the cracks must mean the paint must of been under a bit of stress :(

Black marks will come out easily with something like this And a soft cloth

as for the cracks in the paint, you have a couple of options once you've given them a good going over with the paint renovator.

Get the bumper painted or see how it goes. I have a similar problem on the front number of my punto thanks to someone recently remoulding the front bumper one night the plastic was undamaged but the paint is now all cracked.

I've opted to see how it goes as getting the bumper painted and the colour of the paint matched can be costly in both money and time.

After a quick google I see there are loads of white fiat 500 bumpers on eBay for sale so this could be a third option cheaper than a paint shop
