hello all,
want to do a few budget mods on my punto,
what would be the best way of removing the strips/badges?
any tips or advice would be great.
cheers

considering my car is yellow and an 03 model
will post some pics up once its done.
was just wondering where did you get your hids? & price?

HID's were local car shop for €65 (y)
but find out if yours take H1 or H7 (y)

To de-strip the side
. Use heatguun or hairdryer to heat up the stripes (This will loose the glue)
. Use a card or something similar to lift a egde and pull back on the strip keep the heat on the strips.
. Remove any left over glue with petrol. Yes petrol on a rag. Dont waste your time and money with tar remover or Sticky Stuff from Halfords rubbish.
. Wash the side of the car with soapy water/ Shampoo
. Once you have removed all the glue and washed the sides there will be a noticeable difference where the strip was.
. Use a paint renovator product like T-Cut or G3 ( Found at any halfords)
. Apply by hand or buffer.

Job Done

Petrol wont burn or eat away the paint. If you leave it on it will takes hours / days to do so.
