flat tyre, broken locking nut

Hi guys I was planning on holiday tomorrow morning but I have a flat back passenger side (on my gp) but the locking nut has broken so it won't fit the nut anymore as it keeps slipping off. Can you suggest anything?

(and I've viewed the other guide on how to get one off without the nut)

Re: flat tyre, broken locking nut

What you need is a slightly smaller old socket and extension, hammer on and hopefully off with ratchet plus extension . Ive done this in the past to mates with 100% success.....

Hi idaho 1

Unfortunately I am in the Swindon area.

I provide a mobile locking wheel nut removal service using special equipment only available to the trade (not spiral sockets or similar), I also know that a Company based in Norwich/Ipswich is providing the same service (see advert on Ebay), I do not know of others but you may find one more local to you.

If I can be of assistance to anyone local to Swindon my mobile is 07588 772590

Good luck

Re: flat tyre, broken locking nut

the Laser ones in Halfords are only a tenner and i think they cut a reverse thread into your nut so you can undo it
you get two sizes in it

Dave, It was not an advert, it was a suggestioin that this service exhists and that I am not unique (there are some that would disagree!), I can't afford to do it for free as I charge so little anyway (£50 mobile for all four wheels) however a local guy googling a solution to the same problem contacted me and I sorted his car out....It still does not count as an advert as he had a Renault Laguna.
