"Free air delivery is the actual air produced by the compressor pump at the rated pressure. Maximum free air delivery (F.A.D.) is usually rated at a pressure somewhat less than the maximum pressure available. Units are volume per unit time."

Which is pretty much what I would have said..

It is what you actually get pumped out....

So

Air Delivery Check
Pressure Check (assuming it is adjustable)

Have to check you have the right attachments though and that it will actually fit on... but quarter inch is pretty standard for air guns... depends whats on the hose.

9 Amps is a fair old current... but if you have the right 'leccy stuff setup is no real problem for a garage/workshop type affair ... my dad has a decent compressor in the garage...

9.2 cubic feet is about 260 litres though.. so that air tank looks like it might be 'exhausted' on full whack in a fifth of a minute...

Might be something enquiring about..

Hi Dave,

In my opinion You will want at very least a 150l compressor.
To be honest you want the biggest compressor you can get although my 150 manages.
The CFM will be of a similar value to the gun. You have a 150l tank which will give you some spraying time so the compressor can kick in to keep a constant pressure before you drain it too much.

The less the compressor works the better because it creates heat and condensation which you do not want. You also do not want to drop pressure through a job as it will effect the paint spray dramatically.

new compressor is very quiet

or shall i just get one of the £10 filter regulators

If you do then make sure the lubricator is on a seperate line to the air gun. As it will contaminate the lines etc ;)
if I were you I think id get a cheap inline filter just for now and buy something better later :)
buy a small inline regulator to put just before the spray gun.
