| Headlight Rules For M.O.T Not sure if this is in the right section but.... Failed on my m.o.t Last week due to EU SPEC headlights on my car ( i new this anway) so i ordered Halo headlights because the carage wanted stupid money for bog standard headlights. But to cut a long story short the light never arrived on time so i had to improvise buy using electrical tape to blok out the Kik up on the beams ( UK headlights Kik up to the left , EU kick up to the right) I done as best as i cood and the tape wood only be for a day, just to pass the M.O.T. i explained my story to the Garage but i got a call back saying they woodnt even attempt the M.O.T because of the tape But the beam was not kicking up into the view of oncoming drivers so why the fail ?

| Wants a Murcielago LP640 | Re: Headlight Rules For M.O.T When I get LHD Vw's, they have the beam kick up to the right - we put headlight converter stickers on the lens that take the kick up away completely leaving just a flat image - this is acceptable for MOT. Either put 'official' converter stickers on or try another garage. | ||

| Re: Headlight Rules For M.O.T found out from a new garage were i passed the m.o.t yesterday that it didnt matter that i used electrical tape , as long as the beem was flat the can pass it ! These nobjokeys wouldnt even test it , costing me 40 quid for another mot. The complaint will be made monday ![]()
