Dent removing technique

handy little technique for removing some dents from bodywork., will only work on on the kind of dents that pop in and out, not the sharp ones where you break the paint etc.,

Re: Dent removing technique

i reckon if you got it cold enough, the metal would contract enough to straighten small dents or atleast improve them.

Even on extremely shallow ones (i.e. you can see it but can't feel it)?

Re: Dent removing technique

hmm... not sure.
im gonna give it a go 2moro.

The cinq will go first as the guinea pig - plenty of different sizes and depths to practice on there, then the mk1 puntos wing has a very shallow dent, then the mk2s rear quarter (again very shallow but quite big), then the mothers berlingo from where a garage door fell on it (on the curve near the gutter - not sure it that one will work tho)

Re: Dent removing technique

That's tops! Wart treatment sprays may work too as they freeze the wart.

Would you mind if you post a few photos of the shallow dents to see how shallow they are? It would be good to see the Before and After effects

Re: Dent removing technique

I think the wart treament is most probably a chemical reaction rather than a sub-zero liquid, as the liquid CO2 is about -70c, which would be a health risk if wart treament was that cold

The Maplin spray is about -50c so im hoping that will be cold enough.
