So it was keyed while the bodyshop had it? Then shouldn't the responsibility fall on them?

fu***rs these days,

just beacuse they are jealous. cant beat my "key" though, front wing to rear wing on a people carrier, then round the back tailgate. all the way down to the metal. and. to add insult to injury, they stole ALL my CD's

b***ards

fingers crossed a bit of t-cut, then black t-cut, then wax, and it should be much less noticable. it depends if the scratch is through the paint or not. if its just scored the laquer you'll be able to sort it out with a bit of work.

if you cant live with it get a scrapyard tailgate, its cheaper than spraying (should cost £20-40), and there's no risk of colour match issues.

lucky its the boot tbh, its a bolt on part so as jug said you just need to find a black mk2 boot, and should cost £10-40 depending on the scrappy or the ebayer.

or you could make it into a good thing, and get the boot de-locked and de-wipered, when damage is done to my car, i try to make it into a good thing and mod it when i repair the damage, eg my rear window was smashed so iv bought a new boot, de-badging it, and having it sprayed, cheaper than a new window, and il have a de-badged car :D

...that someone will damage again most likely, ruining the effort...
