Some w*n&er scratched some graffiti into the bonnet of a car i am thinking of buying. The word is about 9 inches long and 4 high. They don't look like they have gone through to the bare metal but I would like to respray the bonnet (assuming I buy the car).

I don't know anything about paint jobs, How much for a respray?

The guys at Brierly autos in south east london are quite good with their work (depending where you are of course) they charge about £60

£60 for a bonnet respray that is, the whole car you looking at about £700-£800 pounds they charged me £900 for my respray but that was including fitting my sideskirts and fixing the rear qurter panel which was pretty bad.

1 hour repair and prime, and 3 hours to paint and polish, plus materials around the £150 mark from a quality bodyshop, dont know about 60 quid? crap repair, crap finish, flaky paint!! materials at least £40 then labour Ant!

Dunno what the price of materials are but i was quoted between £60-£80 do redo my bootlid cos some :tosser: keyed 2 days after i got it back from the respray so im guessing it should be about the same for the bonnet. so far i havent had problems with the respray or flaking paint and the quality was pretty impressive i had a look around the car when i got it back personally i havent found any faults on it i know i havent been in the trade for as long as yourself antsuno2 but i have learnt a few things from my time in body work.

They did it cheap!! and probably had paint, materials left over from your respray!, the bonnet is the most expensive part of your car to paint, and the first panel people look at and critisize, and usualy the largest inc the roof, Ant!
