Hi everyone, I'm having some issues with my Fiat 500, Blue&Me and the iPhone 6s.

I picked up a used Fiat 500 today (2010 reg). I connected my 6s to the car with an official Apple cable and found that streaming from Spotify was tricky. I need to turn the engine on, then connect my phone, then open Spotify then hit play, the track would then pause, I'd hit play again and finally music would come out of the speakers.

I suspected it was probably a firmware/software issue as my 500 is now 6 years old. So I went on the Blue&Me website, followed the instructions to the letter and installed the latest software (which is version 10.0). This went without a hitch**, except that after the update, it was in Italian! No worries, I went into pairing mode with the original update USB still attached and the dashboard says "INSTALLING...". After a few minutes the update competed and it was back in English. No drama.

Since the update however, the track skip buttons on the steering wheel don't work! Additionally, the mute button (which used to pause the track) now actually mutes it (i.e. playback continues, but there's no sound) They did work before I carried out the update. Does anyone know what I can do to restore this functionality? I don't really care about the pause/mute issue but I'd love for the skip buttons to work again.

I have read that disconnecting the -ve terminal on the battery for half hour may do the trick but I have no idea what to do. I've popped the bonnet and I can see what appears to be the +ve terminal on the top of the battery but no idea whatsoever where the -ve terminal is.

Any assistance you could provide would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time :)

** I say it went without a hitch...I never got confirmation that the update succeeded. I got the voice command to say "Update Starting". The dashboard then displayed "UPDATING...". After some time, the radio display changed from 'Blue&Me Voice' (or whatever it says) to the radio, this is while UPDATING... continuted to show. After about 5 mins, the updating text disappeared and...that's it. It didn't say update complete.
