Ok - So I've done a firmware up date as per procedures on blueandme.net (downloading a conf file from the car, uploading the file, downloading the correct update)..

All went fine - dash said installing which eventually vanished and the radio came on.

All done I thought and turned the ignition off. Later went back to car and plugged in my ipod. Nothing. also no blue tooth. Radio works but the blueand me box is dead and miliage is flashing.

Took it back to dealer who basically said - its dead you need a new one 490 pounds please. To which I said no.

So ...

1. Anyone know a way to unbrick a blue and me ? (Fiat 500 2010 Blackjack)

2. If not and I get one of the connects2 kits to connect up to the usb socket will that work or does the dead blue and me affect that

3. How do I stop the mileage flashing - the only answer Perrys would give me is buy a new blue and me - and given that I can get a considerably better after market system brought and fitted for half the price Perrys want to replace the blue and me thats not going to happen. There must be a way to tell it the B&M isn't there.

Also - how do I get into the b&m - I assume its the big metal box under the passenger glovebox ...
