Just a quick one to let you know that the iphone 4s siri software works with blue and me.
I picked the phone up today and have just tested it.
It will read text massages to you and you can also sens text messages and emails just buy saying send email or send text message.
I will update in other things siri can do that may be useful in the car.

It plays on my 09 500.

do you do this by pressing the windows button or by using siri on the handset?

thanks in advance

ps the better half is using the car today so can't test!!!:cry:

Yes I had it on a phone years ago...but this is far better than anything I have used before.

I'd really like to know the answer to this question as well. Obviously the car does its own voice recognition, but can you prompt Siri from the car controls directly?

Thanks.

You press the button on the phone.

Music however will not play on my AGP with the B&M adapter.

IOS5/iPhone 4 works ok.

Looks to be a problem with the 4S...

My new iPhone 4S (IOS5) is working fine with my 58 reg Bravo Tjet (November 2008) using the official Fiat iPhone adapter (the little white one). One important thing to note though, initially it did NOT work at all, connecting it to the usb via the adapter was not charging the phone, and the car did not recognise it as a media player...

I simply switched from using a cheap 3rd party usb lead that I was previously using, to the official usb cable that came in the box with my 4S and now it works perfectly.

I can only assume that the official lead that comes with the iPhone is different in some way that is important specifically for the new iPhone 4S model.

The old usb cable I used before worked fine for my 3GS, so it took me a while to figure out that was the problem!

Anyway, hope this helps someone!

I fixed my issue over a week ago now, just not had time to post..

The way I used to have it setup was:

B&M port->Adapter->USB Extension->iPhone Cable->iPhone4

this will NOT work with 4S, I had to do it this way:

B&M port->USB Extension->Adapter->iPhone Cable->iPhone4S

I have managed to get my iphone 4s charging and playing music successfully and hope this might help anyone with the same problem.

My new iphone paired successfully and I could make and receive calls but the blue&me adaptor did not seem to work at all. It turned out that it was broken and a new adaptor, while not initially appearing any better, did make the iphone vibrate a little on connection, which the broken one had not.

I had read on a very old alfa forum, I think, that my car system would have been used to my old iphone and that it needed to be forced into recognising a new device. This is done by switching off the new iphone, connecting it with the adaptor and only then turning the car ignition on. This started up my iphone and also started it charging and playing music. Success.

This seems to work reliably, though I do have to switch my iphone off every time I want it to play through the car. rather frustrating but I am so pleased it's working again.

Hope this helps
