Hello all
I have had my Grande Punto 1.9 JTD Sporting since October, and bar the odd time my Blue & Me has worked a treat.
(it occasionally neded the usb stick reseating to read properly)
Now however i have a problem ...
The Main (right hand side) Windows (left hand side) buttons do not work.
so i cannot make a call, answer a call, or look at the phonebook/last calls/media list.
also it will not change track on the media player from the usb stick

I have re-formatted and tried different usb sticks but its the same

cd and radio are fine and the up/down buttons work to change track/volume etc on these no problem.

i have read that perhaps an update is required ? or poss fixed by removing the battery for 10 seconds ?

has anyone else experienced the same thing and fixed it via these methods ?

If i remove the Neg terminal will i not loose other things like stereo code and engine management settings or is it quite safe to just unclip it then clip it on again ?????

I ask by the way , cause i dont know ....

cheers for any help someone can give.

take the battery off

assuming your car has the original head unit fitted it talks to the body computer so wont loose its code as they are paired together

only thing you will need to reset is the clock (y)

Same thing has happened to me this morning, just a question - will the mileage start flashing if disconnect and re-connect the battery?

thanks

I had the same trouble a few years back when I had my Punto 1.9 Sporting.
After taking it back to the dealer, as it was still under warranty, they told me that it was because I "pulled the USB stick out while the radio was on" and that it "froze" the software.
They had to re-set the blue&me software.
Worked fine after that. (y)

Can you remember doing the same, i.e. pulling out the USB stick while the radio was on?
