Hi all,

I hope someone can shed some light on this.

I'm just about the buy a Fiat 500 with the Blue&Me kit, and i wondered if it was possible to play my Spotify playlist though the Blue&Me system off my phone?

Thanks

Andy

Hi, I'm new here but thought I would post what I found out re. Blue&Me and Spotify here just in case it can help anyone else.

I have Spotify premium, so I have songs stored to play ofline on my iPhone 4s. When I bought my Punto Evo in December I just plugged in my phone using the iPhone lead (no adaptor) and it worked like a dream; played all my offline Spotify tracks without an issue.

Unfortunately my phone was stolen recently. The insurance company replaced it and I just backed up everything from iCloud, including my Spotify app. However, after that Spotify wouldn't play....music from it would come on for literally a couple of seconds then disappear with the Blue&Me system telling me that 'no media found'.

I took my car to the dealer who reset the Blue&Me system....no joy....and I was told by the technician that Spotify was not working because the files on my phone were probably all different formats and they all needed to be one format like mp3 or wma....I wasn't buying it.

As far as I could tell, nothing had changed on my phone so I didn't understand why it wasnt working.....so I had a think. I thought hard about anything that could possible have changed on my phone since it stopped playing and the only thing I could come up with was that I had deleted a couple of audio files from iTunes (which I never ever use) so my iTunes account was completely empty. So, as an experiment I bought a track in iTunes.....guess what?! Spotify immediately started playing through my car again, no 'no media found' messages, just normal service resumed. I dont understand the technicalities of it, but it worked!

Anyway, sorry for the long story but I'm hoping that this might help someone in the same frustrating position as me!

I just bought the adapter on ebay and it does not seem to work. I have a Fiat Bravo (2012) with Blue&Me and I tried to connect my iPhone 4s but neither the iPhone nor the Blue&Me system recognizes the connection, i.e. media does not start playing and the iPhone does not charge. Any idea what might be the problem?

Hi. I´m new in this forum.

I have a problem with Blue&Me. I can´t use any phone as a media player. I have tried iPhone 5s (with B&M adapter), Lumia 800, Lumia 820 but eather of those doesn´t connect with usb cable. I can connect phones with bluetooth but then I can only use hands free system. I have also updated the blue&me system, tried to reset system by taking off the negative wire from the battery. What should I do to get it work? I have Fiat 500 (2009)

I really want to play spotify somehow in car but is there any other way than changing the stereo system? Really frustrating!!!

Nokia phones will never work with blue and me (unless they are they much older phones like the old symbian phones, n95 for example)

You might need to get the adapter in the video futher up this thread to get blue and me to work with your iphone/ipod

The real easiest option would be to get a new stereo with aux (I bought a stereo with aux for my old car about 7 years ago and it cost £40). I've never fitted one to a 500 though so I dont know how easy it will be

I have the adapter but it doesn´t even charge the phone... Phone just gives a sound that you also hear sound when you put it to a charger. Maybe I have to try it with the old Nokia phone as well. And after all I will have to buy new stereo but maybe I have to buy some that will works well with the Interscope sound system. I think sound quality is not very good on cheaper stereos, I don´t know

This blue&me might be the worst ever system you can have. It even says that it is designed for Windows phone put it doesn´t works with those :bang:

My head is fried, I have a similar problem, I just want spotify from my iPhone 4s to work on my Fiat Grande Punto 08 reg. I have bought the aux adapters and cables etc. The only time I can hear spotify play is when the car is waiting for me to input the pin into my phone to establish a bluetooth connection to blue & me. If I enter the pin, it stops playing. PLEASE HELP! Thanks (P.S. is there any way to disable Blue & Me and if so would that even work?)

So you can play spotify in your car with aux without connecting bluetooth?

Well yes, but it recognises it as 'voice' not 'aux', then after a few seconds it cuts out

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

I have been updating, searching, googling and what not more to make spotify work through the blue and me system with my new iphone 5s as it worked perfectly with my 4s previously. (FIAT punto EVO 2011)

I ended up frustrated about fiat not updating the system for full use of the apple software.
on my 4s I indeed had songs in my itunes, on my new 5s I had not.
Adding a single track (doesn't have to be an itunes purchase) to the itunes library fixed it!!
Spotify now plays perfectly!!

I have been trying to figure this out for more than a month. Fiat said I had to take it in to the dealership for a software update but I never had time and I did my own software update (turns out it was up to date.) I read this today and put one song in iTunes (I also had none.) Worked like a charm. You are my hero!

Hi everyone!

Could you clarify whether adding one song to your iTunes works without the Blue&Me adapter.

My methods have been changing the stereo system to one I have but that wouldnt even turn on in my Grande Punto Evo,

Ive also tried to use my IPhone charging wire in my usb slot and that didnt make a connection at all.

The bluetooth connection through Blue&Me is only for handsfree and doesnt even work to be honest.

Hey, I have Samsung galaxy S5 and fiat Punto evo 2011...I tried soo many times to play from my spotify.. and no sucsess.. I can call through Blue&ME, i can listen the downloaded mp3 files but not spotify. HELP!
And one more .. is that B&M adaptor only for Apple products?
Thx :)
