I picked up my Bravo a couple weeks ago. The person at the Dealership took me through BAM and said you can use two phones at the same time, albeit only one will show it's address book in the car (but both are usable).

However, I can't get this to work. I can only use one phone at a time.

Is there a way to connect two phones at the same time? I'd really like to use both.

I use a personal and works phone in case you wonder why two.

cheers.

I didnt think Bluetooth as a means of communication, was capable of two simultaneous connections at the same time?

I think what the dealer meant was that you can connect two phones (I'm sure the manual says 4 from memory) but you can only actually have one connected at a time!

I could be wrong though!

I think you're right. I can connect 1 of the phones at a time so that they're both connected, but when both are on and in the car it's like musical chairs, when the ignition goes on it's the 1st to connect that wins and the other doesn't get answered if it rings

yeah sounds about right!

Much the same happens for a bluetootk thing my mum has in her car, you can pair 4 phones to it, but its the first one that connects that takes control!

I think you can then ask it to use one of the other phones its paired with if I remember correctly...

There are bluetooth devices that can connect to 2 phones simultaneously but as far as i know it's not yet been implemented in any car system. I have an I-Tech bluetooth handsfree on which i can have both my mobiles connected at the same time.

According to the manual if there is more than one paired phone in the car then it should connect to the one it has done so the most. Never put it to the test though.

I can attest to the fact that there are Bluetooth systems that support multiple pairings simultaneously, but I'm certain that the Blue&Me Bluetooth chip is older and doesn't support it. If i'm not mistaken, Blue&Me will remember up to five mobile devices its paired with, and automatically reconnect to any of these five when they near the system... the order in which they would connect however is a mystery to me.
