iPhone 3G Not working with Blue n Me/Contacts Not Transferring

I have been using the original iPhone with Blue & Me since I got my Fiat 500 in March.

I picked up my iPhone 3G on Fri but Blue & Me now wont transfer my contacts from the phone.

1. Has anyone else found this a problem with the new iPhone?

2. I have deleted the users and paired again and again. Blue n Me says it is transferring the contacts but doesn't.

Does anyone know what to do?

I've heard it's a problem with the actual iPhone software, not Blue and Me, as a few friends who have an assortment of different cars are all suffering the same issues...

Having the same problem with my Bravo, so annoying. Origional iPhone worked fine, 3G iPhone phonebook will not copy.

Yeah well does not surprise me, few people I know have had faults with the new 3g Iphones. Ask someone else thats got one. But thats what you get when you get a new phone from the first month it's launched....eh am how do I know these things you ask? Well I work for a network....but I will not say because last thing I need more people coming in with more problems

Maybe not quite. I bought an iPhone G3 3 weeks ago (Denmark), and I have had no trouble pairing it or transfering the phonebook ... I think. All the names are transfered, but I tried to make my first call this morning, and all I got was loud white noise from the speakers. After about 10 seconds of this, the system ended the call.
It's amazing that the developers of the Blue&Me system have not made it more compatible with iPhone ... and iPod for that sake. Chocking.

I'm going to test some more, and investigate a bit to search for solutions. I'll get back if I hit groundbraking news :-)

or perhaps apple changed something quite basic in the bluetooth profile as opposed to other brands?

Any news on this? I'd love to swap to an iphone3g, but I won't buy one until I know it works with my car. It'd involve swapping from Orange to o2, so I want to make sure it's worth my while

Just tryed the new firmware 2.0.1, still doesn't seem to copy contacts. Only had a quick go in my dinner break though.

I thought the iphone 3g only has bluetooth to connect the phone to the apple bluetooth headset as it is restricted to stop data been sent off the phone

Its more than likely Apple deviating from the bluetooth standard layed down in the RFC spec, and dirtying it up so it works with their bastardised devices. If there is enough demand for it then Fiat/Microsoft may release an update.

I have an Alfa with Blue & Me annd now have an iPhone2, and the same problem about phonebook not transferring.
This problem is with Apple's new software, so not only Fiat, and Alfa (and Lancia at a guess) but also BMW share this problem.
Someone on the Alfa forum has set up a survey form to try to add pressure to Apple to sort this.

it's hard to believe. may also be worth putting some pressure on Fiat aswell as Apple.

Just downloading 2.0.2 now, anyone tried this yet. Has the problem been fixed?
