Who uses ipod with no problems?

Ok people - I'm begging for help here!!!

I've trawled all the forums, including the blue and me bit, and am finding many people with the exact same problem as me reported (also someone with a 1.2 lounge), many, sometimes whacky possible solutions, but no one reporting it fixed or success!

When i plug my 30g 5th gen ipod with mp3 and a couple of audible files, all installed via itunes, into the usb port it hangs on 'do not disconnect' and plays just a few random tracks with no menu functionality. The music system does say 'media player' which is hopefull! I've tried it with the 'use as a drive' bit on and off.

Before i format my ipod and look for an itunes alternative to see if that works, can anybody let me know if they've found a solution please???

Well Sheeno, the silence speaks for itself!

I'm frustrated about this too. No solutions yet. Just poor work arounds, that doesn't actually ... work.

Kind regards, Pino

Re: Who uses ipod with no problems?

I use an 80Gb iPod, and although I wouldn't say I had no problems, I seem to have found the knack of getting reliable play, with menus via B&M.

If you switch the ipod on before connection to B&M, it seems to be recognised straight away, and as long as you have MP3 files on the ipod, then you should be OK.

Works for me anyway.

I've found that if I let B&M switch the ipod on following conection, I get the "do not disconnect" screen, which locks the ipod until the battery goes flat!

Good luck!
