I'm giving Il Mostro a service soon, and I'm thinking of spanking a few quid on some performance spark plugs. Has anyone ever used any, and what brands are recommended? The local Halfrauds are doing Bosch Super 4s and Champion Eon at around twenty squid per set of 4. Worth it, or should I just go with the usual cheapo NGK/Denso items?

hi johnnyboy, ur on here to eh. i got Bosch super 4's in my punto, they are ok, but these are the only ones i have bought. never really bothered to get better performance ones. get urself some good HT leads to, may aswel do the job properly eh:)

Hi mate, you're on PuntoForum aren't you? Or is it PSC? Maybe both?! After a while they all begin to blur into one...;)
Do the Super 4's make a noticeable difference over standard ones? And whats your recommendation in the way of HT leads? Bearing in mind I don't want to rinse too much cash! :p

imo youre best getting oe ngk's or bosch spark plugs and fiat oe leads.
my car didn't seem as good with "performance" spark plugs

visit www.fiat-scotland.com
you know you want to

if all these things were that good the manufacturer would fit then as standard.
don't waste your money.

performance spark plugs have 4 electrods (or whatever its called) instead of 2 that a normal sparkplug have. Which is supposed to give a better spark, but I havent tried one myself.

think you got it a bit wrong there mate as NGK and denso do the best plugs and champion bosch are pretty s**te go for iridium plugs give best spark and last much longer

Think you've got the wrong end of the stick (my fault - I should've made it a bit clearer!). I meant the cheap standard oem-type NGK or Denso plugs; having seen the price of Denso Iridium's I'd expect them to work miracles!! ;)

also remember iridium plugs can ast up to 100,000 miles so if you keep car over time how many normal sets would you buy?
