My washer fluid bottle is leaking, it looks like I will have to take the front bumper off to get at it. Is that the case? How do I get the bumper off? I can see four screws on the bumper in front of the grill but there must be more than that holding it on. I would apreciate any advice as I am still waiting for Amazon to deliver my haynes manual.

Rite 1st of all u need the take the wheel arches out 3 or 4 screws holding them in (mite be easier 2 take the wheel off aswell) then there r 2 more bolts and nuts 2 on each side or the car bumper. once all ar removed aswell as the 2 u get 2 by having the bonnet up it will slide off so in total the 4 bolts and 2 nuts 2 remove :) ut once u got the drivers arch out u may be able 2 get 2 the washer bottle if a little fiddly.

Hi,

I had a similar problem. All I had to do was remove 3 screws holding the wheel arch in place and then I was able to see that the tube at the bottom of the resoviour was perished. I cut of about 10mm and refitted it. 10 minute job.

True, it's usually just the hose. They perish with the heat as they are right behind the radiator - you might need to replace a short length of it.

Thanks all it was just the pipe as you said. New bit of pipe and a straight connector, fixed for a quid :D It had been done before so I had to cut away about 30cm of the old pipe but should be okay for awhile now.
Glad it was such a simple fix as we have only had the car a week and I had visions of a cracked washer bottle from crash damage. I was about to go back to the garage I bought it from and play hell. Just as well I checked here first :I It's my wifes car but I have been using any excuse to drive it, a real hoot. A very different experience to my Saab.

Cheers Rob
