1999 (P Reg) Ducato Motor Home Charging
Posted 31-12-2011 at 11:56 by malloyd1
Working on an old Fiat 2.5 D 25ft Ducato motorhome. Thereis no indication of a conversion company name (Elldis etc).
The leasure battery is not getting any charge. When I do a battery check on the main Van control panel the Van Battery is OK but the car battery is not showing any voltage.
1. Does any-one know how the leasure battery is connected into the Car charging system and or where the split charging unit is located?
2. Can anyone point me to a wirng schedule for this Motorhome?

If you want more replies go to motorhomefacts.com. Your post is not clear but I will do my best. I strongly suspect that there is no interconnection between the cab battery and the habitation side of things. It would be simple for an auto electrician to install a split charger to allow the habitation battery to be charged when you are on the move.
As for charging the cab battery from the on board mains charger what you need is a Battery Master http://www.vanbitz.com/product/Battery_Master_BMasterPosted 06-01-2012 at 23:00 by rayc
