The Resurrection

well today was meant to be a car boot day, down at aldenham, about 2000 odd cars for the loot/help a london child charity, but the miserable weather put paid to that idea, so instead i spent last night hunting ebay for some more ikea billy units, which i won for a tenner, and spent the morning collecting and putting them up, i then turned attention to a little organisation of the mass of bits i have, suffice to say....it's getting a little silly...

so i was at a bit of a loose end today, popped into the garage, and hooked the booster pack up to the battery...2 coughs and caught strongly, settled down to a steady 900rpm, and held it very nicely, turning it off was a bit sad, as now it's deconstruction time......

so i started removing some exterior bits, make a start at least, out popped the headlights and indicators, along with the repeaters, grille, front bumper and arches, aerial and the roof strips, something i never really...

Ahhh, the life of the Uno Turbo owner...who's have it eh?

Well 5 years ago, after much searching and prevaricating, i took the plunge, and cast out all thought of GTT's, 205 GTi's and even 16V MK2's, and bought a very late MK1. She was a little ragged around the edges, and sat high on standard suspension, skinny original tyres and wheels. But, she was essentially sound, and red!
